Do you allow pets?
We are in a rural location and very lucky yo have such an abundance of wildlife that share the location with us. It is because of this we regret that pets are not permitted to stay at Dam View. We ask that you make arrangements for your pets prior to your stay.
Is there electricity on site?
We do not have electricity on site, however we do have solar powered charging facilities these are generally very good however if we have days of very little light and they are heavily used they will eventually run out.
What is the maximum occupancy of each lodge?
The maximum capacity is 6 guests
Can friends and family visit us during our stay?
Yes, however please do not exceed the maximum occupancy of the lodge if they are staying and be considerate to any other guests. Before you invite more guests we would ask that you let us know when they will be visiting for site security.
Do you offer single night stays?
We do not permit single night stays Friday – Monday (3 nights) Monday – Friday (4 nights)
Friday – Friday / Monday – Monday (7 nights)
In quiet seasons we do offer 2 night stays Friday – Sunday
Do you supply towels?
We do supply towels, but we ask that you do not remove them from Dam View to use anywhere else during your stay.
We provide:
- 6 hand towels
- 6 bath towels
- 6 face clothes
- Bathmat
- Tea towels
Is there a camping stove?
Yes we provide a camping for that important morning cup of tea so that you do not have to wait for the log burner.
Do you allow hen and stag parties?
We do not permit stag parties and hen parties must contact us in advance of placing a booking.
Can we have food deliveries to site?
Yes, there are a number of supermarkets locally that deliver to the carpark and there are a number of takeaways that are really lovely too. If you are celebrating our local farm shop Polly’s Pantry will deliver platters of food here too.
Is the water safe to drink?
Yes we are mains connected so the water is safe to drink.
Can you smoke on site?
Dam View and all accommodation are non-smoking therefore smoking is not permitted at any time on site.
Are there any extras we need to bring?
Warm and cosy clothes for during your stay, during the summer and when the wood burning stove is on the temperature inside is lovely. However we must remind guests that this is still camping.
Where do we park?
There is a carpark where you first enter Dam View, please park your car here and unload your bags into the wheelbarrows provided and take this to your Lodge. There is no parking next to the Lodges.
Is there WIFI on site?
There is not wifi on site, however there is a good signal in the field if you need to use your devices.

Our luxury lodges are ready and fully equipped for you to just sit back, relax with a book and a glass of wine (or hot chocolate) in hand in front of a wonderfully crackling stove.
